The MAXSURF product team is pleased to announce the availability of Multiframe CONNECT Edition V21 Update 12 (version 21.12.00.10). Multiframe helps structural experts check the structure of their vessel to comply with class requirements and optimise it for strength and weight. It can be used for deck grillage, frame, superstructure and mast strength calculations.
The main new features included in the release are outlined below:
- Trimesh manipulation tools:
It is now possible to use the full range of surface geometry tools on Trimeshes: Move; Flip; Rotate; etc.
- Intermediate damage:
The addition of a "damage case type" parameter allows users to define whether a damage case should be considered "final stage" or "intermediate stage". This provides the option for evaluating different criteria for different stages of damage.
- Extended COM Automation interfaces to provide:
. Rhino .3dm import
. Trimesh import (nuShallo, PLY, STL, WAMIT)
. Trimesh export (nuShallo, PLY, STL)
. PDstrip format export
. Trimesh transformation tools
. DXF export
. GHS import
. Tank and Compartment manipulation
. Calibration options
For the full list of new and improved features, please refer to the release notes located in the folder of your Multiframe CONNECT Edition V21 Update 12.
Note: This is an update and will overwrite earlier installations of MAXSURF and Multiframe 21.11
About Multiframe. Multiframe provides linear and non-linear analysis, static and dynamic options and buckling calculations. These analysis options are complemented by a full range of analysis-related modeling tools like master-slave, prescribed displacements, springs, thermal effects, offset members, additional masses and much more. Other modules allow you to draw section shapes and install them in the sections library and perform design checks for a range of design codes. Multiframe Automation allows you to prepare design calculations in Excel and link them directly with your Multiframe model. An ever expanding range of design add-ons also allows you to simplify steel code checking and optimization
